I’m Tom (Arthur) Murray, the founder of Arthur Bookkeeping & Tax. I’m a veteran, business owner, husband, motorcycle rider, and proud member of a household run by two cats and a Boston Terrier.
Before moving into bookkeeping and tax, I spent nearly 20 years in human resources and business leadership. That experience taught me how to listen, solve problems, improve processes, and help people through complicated situations without making them feel overwhelmed or judged.
I believe good bookkeeping should do more than keep your records organized. It should help you understand your business, make better decisions, and feel more confident about where you’re headed. My approach is practical, collaborative, and straightforward, with clear answers and no unnecessary jargon.

I bring more than 11 years of experience in sales, customer service, financial services, and healthcare insurance. I’ve spent my career asking the right questions, listening carefully, and helping people navigate decisions that can sometimes feel complicated or stressful.

I bring more than five years of bookkeeping experience, with a background in accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close support. I’ve also worked in commercial banking, property management, and corporate finance, which has helped me understand how strong financial processes support a healthy business.
I take pride in being thorough, dependable, and proactive. Whether I’m researching a discrepancy, improving a process, or making sure nothing has been overlooked, I’m focused on giving you clean, reliable books you can trust.
